AGM and New Executive team

Dear Members/Players,

On behalf of the club, we would like to thank everyone who attended and participated in our Annual General Meeting (AGM). We sincerely appreciate your time, support, and continued commitment to the Sagarmatha Sports and Social Club community.

Please find below a summary of the key matters discussed and decisions approved at the AGM.

AGM Attendance:

A total of 18 members attended the AGM:
Niraj Shrestha, Mahesh Bhandari, Bishnu Timilsina, Niranjan Gautam, Laxmi Bhurtel, Santosh Devkota, Yoddha Thapa, Arjoon Sharma, Shreekanta Aryal, Gopal Nepal, Hari Ghimire, Ishwari Nepal, Prem Bhandari, Ujjwal Tripathi, Krishna Bashyal, Kris Gurung, Nabin Thapa, and Keshav Regmi.

Financial Statement:

Treasurer Niranjan Gautam presented the club’s financial statement.

The financial statement was approved by President Niraj Shrestha and Vice-President Mahesh Bhandari.

President’s Report:

President Niraj Shrestha presented the President’s report, covering the club’s activities and progress.

The report was approved by Treasurer Niranjan Gautam and Director Santosh Devkota.

Bylaws:

The AGM approved a resolution for the incoming Executive Committee to review and update the club’s bylaws during its term.

Membership Fees:

The AGM approved the following membership fee structure:

Lifetime Membership: CAD $100
Two-Year Membership: CAD $20

Executive Structure:

The AGM approved a change to the Executive Committee structure. The incoming Executive Committee may transition the three Director positions into the following coordinator roles:

Event Coordinator
Sports Coordinator
Outreach Coordinator

These positions are intended to strengthen the club’s event planning, sports activities, and community outreach.

*New Executive Committee*:

The AGM approved the following members as the new Executive Committee of Sagarmatha Sports and Social Club:

1. President: Prem Bhandari
2. Vice President: Bishnu Timilsina
3. Secretary: Keshav Regmi
4. Treasurer: Niranjan Gautam
5. Director: Yoddha Thapa
6. Director: Gopal Nepal
7. Director: Ishwari Nepal

We would like to congratulate the new Executive Committee and wish them success in their new responsibilities. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the outgoing Executive Committee for their service, dedication, and contributions to the club.

We look forward to everyone’s continued participation and support as we work together to further develop Sagarmatha Sports and Social Club and strengthen our sports and social community in Calgary.
